"It's a funny story, actually. My mama didn't leave home much. I think she partly wanted to, but home was always the place she knew best. Colorado was her comfort zone. But she always used to say there was one city she wanted to see more than any other. One city she wanted to visit before she died. But it was one of those fruitless wishes. She knew she'd never get there. That's how I got my name. So she could say that she got to see Manhattan every day."
